Why are people slamming the University of Hawaii? People are saying they haven’t played anyone and that they barely got past Washington. They scored 28 unanswered points!
They beat a Washington team that beat a Califonia team that beat a Tennessee team that lost by 7 to one of the teams in the Championship game and coincidentally beat one of those teams in Georgia. Oh yeah…it was the university of Georgia!!! I’m not saying it’s a lock for UH and things like injuries and rivialries don’t play a part, but it is what it is. I am just tired of people saying that if they were in the SEC they wouldn’t win 2 games. If what I have listed shows me something its that they would have done very well. They are linked by six degrees to the defeat of teams like USC, Tenn, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Oregon, Michigan, Arizona State…everyone in the Top 25. There’s your Strength of schedule.

Hawaii deserves more credit and they should have destroyed Washington who beat…who beat….who…
I know, and I am not saying that transitive theories should play a part in all of this. What I was basically trying to get out is that “Why not Hawaii?” Everyone is counting them out when a lot of the top teams this year were upset. Why not Hawaii? USC,LSU, Michigan…why not Hawaii? I think people are too closed minded….especially ESPN analyst Mark May on the Heisman and his bowl predictions. Hawaii has a potent offense and shouldn’t be taken lightly. Good response Soul Brother UGA but Hawaii did beat then 17th ranked Boise State.

I live in Georgia. I’ve used this Poll Locator: http://sos.georgia.gov/elections/polllocator/PollLocator.aspx

It says I am still ‘active’ and gives me the polling location that I’ve voted at before. My registration date was 10/10/2006.

My mom’s registration date was 10/01/1994.

We haven’t gotten one of those (cardboard) voting info cards in the mail, as of yet. Will they mail us one soon? Are we set to go? Is it a “register once and you are in the system for all voting from now on” deal?

Usually, once you register, and vote regularly, you stay “active”. If you skip several elections (even local “small” ones), you’ll put put onto the “inactive” list, and I’m not sure how you get back on the “active” list beyond showing up at your polling place and talking to one of the poll workers.

In Alabama, we don’t need voter ID cards (yet)., but we do need to show some form of ID (like a driver’s license) when we show up to vote.
When I lived and voted in Florida, we had to have a voter registration card AND ID.

How do you vote by mail?

My Grandpa registered already but he hasn’t received a voting card (and I think you need one?). Then he says he wants to vote by mail. We live in Georgia. It’s already late October. Is it too late to vote by mail? If not, how exactly do you vote by mail? Do we need to fill in more forms that we need to get at the Post Office or something? Or do we go to this website and fill in the application? >>

Go to that website and fill out the Absentee Voter Application. Do this ASAP & fax or deliver it to your county’s Voter Registrar office. Some people have already received their absentee ballots, but as long as he receives his ballot by election day, he can drop it off at a voting site while the ballots are still open.

I was told that I had a rolling 18 month window to pass all four sections of the CPA exam, but the website for Georgia’s board of accountancy said that my test scores never expire [http://sos.georgia.gov/plb/faqs/22%20faqs.htm (see question 12)]. Immediately, my job may not give me qualifying work experience, and I’d hate to pass all four sections just to lose credit. Does this mean that once I pass all four sections, my test scores will never expire?

i lived in florida & had a tag at one time. moved to georgia & had one there too. now back in florida & trying to renew my tag before it expires in a few weeks. i am not sure what i need to do this. SOS!
will i need 2 get a FL lisc. too? i have a disc. from turning in my old FLA tag from years ago.

Sorry, it doesn’t work that way. Since you are bringing a car registered in Georgia into Florida you need to re-register the car in Florida. You will get a completely new, different plate. You can not renew the Florida registration you used to have before moving to Georgia.

the old rap is, a team like Hawaii can’t stay with SEC teams physically or speedwise,

i don’t know if anybody watched Hawaii this year.
Nevermind the SEC, or the sos.

This Hawaii team is unique in that it refuses to be manhandled by anyone and that’s what nobody’s realizing yet. .

before times, Georgia should win this one, like 45-15, en route to wearing Hawaii down to an island pulp..

But based upon what I’ve seen with my own eyes this year, there’s a good chance Hawaii’s gonna make Georgia think they’ve encountered the old upstart Miami Hurricanes in a rude back alley.

that’s my bet. anybody get the same feeling?

I moved to Georgia and registered my car here, but my old address received a request for renewal from Michigan. Can I ignore this? Do I have to follow up with Michigan’s SOS?

How long does it take for name change for voter registration? I sent in the application like 3 weeks ago. I want to vote early but I’m not sure if it would count b/c my maiden name appears on my voter registration card. I also checked http://sos.georgia.gov/elections/polllocator/PollLocator.aspx to see how my name appears.

WE went into the court house and picked up our ballots last week, you might want to call the court house in the county that you are registered in to see where and when you can vote.

How is the georgia state superintendent chosen?

Question by Taylor W: How is the georgia state superintendent chosen?
I’ve read the Georgia Constitution. The answer is on the bottom of page 59 of the Georgia Constitution, but I can’t quite understand it. I think it’s saying the State Superintendent is chosen the same way as the Govenor. But I need to know the “how” in the question. If someone can explain the answer to the question in a simple, easier manner for me, please do. Thanks a million!
